Alarm in the Middle of the Night
A shrill sound from his phone tore Florian K. out of his sleep in the middle of the night. The fire alarm in the production hall of his window manufacturing company had been triggered. Just a few minutes later, he was in his car, filled with uncertainty, on his way to the factory. “How bad will it be?” he wondered.
Technical Defect Caused the Fire
When he arrived at the forecourt of the factory hall, the fire brigade had already begun their operation. Fortunately, the firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire thanks to the installed fire alarm system, which had not only alerted Florian K. but also the fire brigade at the first sign of trouble.
Later, it was discovered that a technical defect had caused a fire in the wiring harness of a woodworking machine. Even though the machine itself was only slightly affected, Florian K. quickly realised that there could be delivery delays.
Hearing About the Incident on the Radio
Early in the morning, just a few hours after the fire broke out, Heinz Müller was also driving to work. While listening to the local news on the radio, the claims expert at Helvetia heard about a fire at a window manufacturing company. He quickly realised that it must be Florian K.'s company a Helvetia customer. Even before Florian K. could report the damage to his insurer, Heinz Müller gave him a call and offered his support.
“That same day, we discussed the next steps together and found solutions to keep the business running as smoothly as possible.”
Heinz Müller, Claims Expert, Helvetia Claims Center
A surprised but grateful Florian K. accepted the help, and together they planned what needed to be done next. They arranged for the repair of the wiring harness and organised cleaning. Florian K.'s employees were able to continue production and serve their own customers. A few weeks later, the defective wiring harness had been fully repaired.
Being There When It Matters Pays Off
The damage had occurred, but thanks to the quick response of business owner Florian K. and claims expert Heinz Müller, the extent of the damage and the costs due to partial operational downtime were kept to a minimum. These costs were reimbursed by Helvetia. But as this story shows, Helvetia's support goes far beyond simply covering financial losses. People like Heinz Müller stand by their customers with advice and action when things get tough. Helvetia is there when it really matters.
