Start of construction for Mahlwerk Uzwil: the new startup space is being built here

On June 12, 2025, construction officially began on the new Mahlwerk site with the future startup space Uzwil. Offices, coworking, workshops and production areas as well as seminar rooms and event spaces will be available from 2027 in the center of Uzwil, with excellent public transport, car and rail connections. Together with the Bühler family of entrepreneurs, our partners and representatives from the municipalities, cantons and the regional economy, we celebrated the start of construction with an atmospheric aperitif right on the site.


More than just offices: A home for start-ups and SMEs
Modern offices, coworking spaces, flexible workshops and production areas as well as seminar rooms and event areas will be created in the former administration building of the Bühler Uzwil Group by 2027, which will be rented by start-ups, SMEs and innovative minds. As a result, Mahlwerk Uzwil is becoming a lively place for exchange, innovation and collaboration.
 
Collaboration that inspires
The project is being realized in close collaboration with Uze AG, the municipality of Uzwil, the location promotion agency and numerous other partners. Together, we are creating a place that combines new working and living spaces and also offers services such as catering, smart mobility and community activities for founders and companies.
